Contact your PTA and Local Schools

You have an opportunity to have every parent at your local school make a left turn into your location. Why? It’s simple! It’s recommended that you make contact with your local schools/PTA boards and request a meeting. Here are some helpful resources you can use to assist you in your meetings:

PTA Presentation 

• This presentation was created specifically for you to use at a PTA or school meeting.  You will need Microsoft Powerpoint® to work with this presentation. 
• To download this document, right click on this link with your mouse.  Select "Save Target As" then either save it to disk or your hard drive.  This download will take approximately 5 minutes when using a 56K modem.  The presentation includes speaker notes to guide you.
• To print speaker notes, open the presentation in Microsoft Powerpoint®.  Select "File" then "Print."  The print window will appear.  Near the bottom of the screen, use the drop down box next to "Print what" and select "Notes Pages" and then "OK."  Next, print the entire presentation on transparencies for use with an overhead projector (preferably in color). Sample Introduction Letter

• These letter templates were designed for you to customize with your station specific information to send to your local schools.  The 1st letter is a letter of introduction from you to the PTA representative or local school official.  The 2nd letter is an invitation from the principal to the parents inviting them to attend a Upromise presentation given by you.  Be sure to follow up with a phone call.  Nothing beats a one-to-one conversation or meeting.
