Getting Your Customers Started

Your customers can begin saving in less than 5 minutes.

First, familiarize yourself with the process.  Saving with Upromise is easy.  Here is how it works:

  • Join - Upromise is free.

  • Shop - for products and services from Upromise contributing companies.

  • Save - a portion of your spending every day.

  • Learn - how to invest in a tax-free* college savings plan.

Help your customers establish their Upromise account by learning yourself how to join.  Complete the following steps and see first hand just how easy it is to join.

  Step 1
Enroll in Upromise

Just go to: http://www.upromise.com8333.d

o?ax=xomolmk and click on the "Join Free" button.  Get your username and password.  Joining is free.

  Step 2
Register Your Credit Cards, Loyalty Cards and Check Cards

During enrollment, be sure to register your trackable devices (i.e. credit card, loyalty cards, check cards).

Upromise uses these numbers to track your purchases at contributing companies and credit the college savings you earn to your account.

 
 
  Step 3
Begin Saving

Buy products and services at Upromise contributing companies - get money for college.

  Step 4
Identify your Future Student(s)

Go to "MY ACCOUNT" and click on "MANAGE PROFILE" and designate the future student that you are saving for.
This can be your child, a friend's child, a relative, or even yourself.

 
 
  Step 5
Leverage the Power of Family & Friends

From "MY ACCOUNT" click on

"MANAGE FAMILY AND FRIENDS" to invite others to contribute to your account.

  Step 6
Invest Your College Savings

The contributions members receive can be invested with one of the leading financial institutions that participate in Upromise.  From "MY ACCOUNT" go to "INVESTMENT ACCOUNTS" to learn more.

You can enroll today!  Go to the Upromise web site and click on the "Join Free" button or just click here. 

*Qualified withdrawals made after January 1, 2002 are free from federal income tax. The provisions of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 will expire on December 31, 2010. Unless the law is extended by Congress, the federal tax treatment of 529 Plans will revert to its status prior to January 1, 2002.
